Hi, I’m Kristin!

I’m an Australian qualified social worker who moved to the UK in 2012.

I initially came over on a two-year working holiday visa. My motivation for moving was to work in and learn another social work system. And also, to travel as much as possible!

In the beginning I found the process quite overwhelming and confusing. I struggled to find answers to my questions and I fumbled my way through the process.

I eventually found myself feeling more settled in the UK and not wanting to leave. This meant finding a job that could provide me with sponsorship for a new visa and navigating yet another process!

It has now been 11 years and I am still here! I continue to work as a social worker and have moved into different roles to expand my knowledge and experience.

Now, alongside my social work job, I provide support and guidance to overseas social workers who are looking to make a similar move. My goal is to help in the way I wish I had been helped when I moved over. To answer questions, talk about what to expect, and to provide guidance and support.

I know how daunting the process can be, so please get in touch and I will be happy to help!
